BONUS!

I once spent a summer housesitting in Georgia, so I counted that as lived in instead of visited. I’ve also set foot in a few other states, but they were just along the way. Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Indiana, South Carolina, Mississippi, and Louisiana. I almost counted Arizona here in this batch, but I’d forgotten I’d visited a friend in Phoenix while I was a teenager (twice, Duh!). I didn’t count where I’d gotten out only at an airport to get on another plane, so no Nevada, yet. I’ve also been to Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico, but they’re not states.

  1. I’ve been to all of those places too! I lived in Tempe, AZ for a whole 9 months though. Now that you’re back, you’re gonna come to my blog and flog me, aren’t you? *Cringes* I still haven’t made it back to McKenna. But I did buy a Dooney purse and get my hair done! LOL Cool TT, Kaige!

  2. I lived in VA, I now live in Maryland, I was born in New Jersey, cruised to Mexico, Bahamas, and Bermuda.

Have a great Thursday! Come on over and laugh at my thirteen, but not too hard!

  3. I’ve visited a lot of states… but have only ever lived in Michigan. That’ll all change next year, though!

    Happy TT!

  4. I live in Pa, visited Md,NY,Va,NJ,DE, and Il but the rest I have yet to see.
    Fun TT, thanks
    Maribeth

  5. bummer that layoevers don’t count…it makes my list shorter!

thanks for stopping by my blog and THANKS for voting. i am excited to see what the blogger etiquette is for such thing.

  6. Alice, I grew up in Maryland. About 15 minutes from Harper’s Ferry, West Virginia about 7 miles from the VA line to the south too. My grandparents lived in Pennsylvania and I went to school on the Eastern Shore, so very close to DE (Christmas shopping was usually done in Dover or Christiana).

I never really moved until I met DH. We just keep moving west. MD->AL->TX->CA I often joked we were going to Hawaii next, until he came home from Shanghai and said he’d had a job offer. Nope. Too far west, it’s east again. And the boy would starve.

  7. very interesting. That means you have resided in most states then;) Of the ones mentioned, I have stayed overnigt in these
    7,8,10, 12, 13

    plus som more.

But what to expect from a foreigner (Norwegian)?
And when it’s more and more difficult, even with close famliy in US, to enter the country unless giving up all, absolutly all, your privacy to the US government. Well, why visit?
I can meet my US Family in Canada or Mexico, in Europe, whatever. I’m fed up treated by low educated Homeland Security Personel – as a potential terrorist.
Tourist industry in US will suffer. And the US dollar as well.
But that seems to be way out hidden in the bushes. Hurray

  8. Nope, I’ve only lived in the four states mentioned: MD, AL, TX, CA and GA for a summer. It’s interesting to see the differences in the way things work between each state even if we’re supposed to be one big “happy” union.

Sorry to hear you’ve had such aggravation with your visits.

  9. I’ve been to all of those states except Florida. I used to travel with my honey on his big rig. We covered lots of miles. I have lived in Idaho, Nevada, and Arizona. We’ve pretty much been to all the lower 48 states except New England and Florida.

    Thanks for visiting me.

  10. Um, well, hi down from way down here. (Hiya, Kaige!)

I have visited Illinois, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Florida.

Yep, that’s it. For the most part, I lead a boring life.

I grew up in Indiana, though (Hoosier state, known for corn fields and flat fields). And I’ve lived in Los Angeles, California, for over three years.

    Talk about a culture shock.

    I’m still in shock.

…Here via Romance Divas. But I’ve seen your thoughtful comments in Jodi’s blog for a while, and always thought you were such a smart cookie.

I am NOT brown nosing, dammit. Just typing what I thought. Ahem.

  11. Very cool. I aspire to visit the dakotas. I have no idea what people do there but there must be something. And if there isn’t anything it’s probably a great place to write without distractions, right?
